Reel 1, Germans are marched to rear areas. Sec. of War Baker, Gen. McAndrew, and Gen. Brewster inspect a stockade at Rarecourt and talk to prisoners. Prisoners are questioned. Shows several groups of prisoners. Prisoners carry U.S. wounded to rear areas near Aincreville. Reel 2, prisoners load rations into cars and entrain at Souilly. Germans and Austro-Hungarians arrive en masse at the Souilly stockade, receive lunch, are interrogated, play poker, disinfect clothing, and construct prison barracks.

Andre Walker Brewster (b. Dec. 9, 1862, New Jersey-d. March 27, 1942), Major General in the U.S. Army, began his military career with the 10th Infantry in 1885 and moved through the ranks, after graduating from the Army War College in 1907, then serving as Inspector General from 1909 to 1913. James William McAndrew (b. June 29, 1862, Pennsylvania-d. April 30, 1922, Washington, D.C.), Major General in the U.S. Army, graduated from West Point in 1888.
